Albuquerque was one of five cities selected to receive a $100,000 Living Cities grant. According to their website, Living Cities “harnesses the collective power of philanthropy and financial institutions to improve the lives of low-income people and the cities where they live.” An Albuquerque Journal article indicates future funding in the form of grants and low or no interest loans will be dependent upon the proposals generated in this initial phase.
