Earth Day Events in Albuquerque

Albuquerque Biopark—April 18th through 21st

Visit the BioPark’s Zoo, Aquarium and Botanic Garden to learn more about our planet and what you can do to protect the animals and plants that inhabit the Earth. Discovery stations and hands-on activities at each facility will introduce you to the wonders of nature.

Different sessions each day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for rich learning experiences that explore how our actions matter to plants, animals and the ecosystem, both in our own backyard and around the world. Visit their website for additional details.

La Montanita Co-Op Earth Fest—April 22nd

Each year La Montañita takes over Silver Ave. between Carlisle and Tulane and makes room for tons of local vendors, social and economic justice organizations, artists, environmental advocacy groups, performers and, of course, La Montañita’s delicious deli foods.

The two-block party has a large stage front and center where attendees can enjoy a variety of performances throughout the day while walking amongst Spring starter plants, artwork made right here in New Mexico, area gardening and farming experts and more. You may even run across a petting zoo filled with baby goats from one of La Montañita’s local vendors, The Old Windmill Dairy. With so much going on, be sure to come early and enjoy all that La Montañita Co-op EarthFest has to offer as it celebrates our local community and planet. Visit their website for additional details
